Rado is a renowned Swiss watch brand owned by Swatch Group. Founded in 1917 under the name Schlup & Co., the Rado watch brand was launched in 1957. The very famous Rado’s Captain Cook dive watch was launched in 1962 and is said to be named after Captain James Cook. 

It has been known that China, India, the UAE, the US, and Switzerland are the top-performing markets for Rado who wish to expand the luxury watch business worldwide. And now India has not only become the second biggest market for the brand but also roped in Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as its global brand ambassador.

Rado CEO believes India has huge future growth potential

Rado’s Global CEO Adrian Bosshard shared that India is one of the important markets for their brand, as they believe that there is a huge scope for growth in the luxury watch segment. The reason is that the people in India are well aware of the fact that a luxury watch can hold so much significance and how it elevates their entire look. The people in India are ready to invest so much into their appearance. 

After China, India stands at the second spot for being the biggest market for Rado, and the CEO noted that they are indeed one of the dominating brands when it comes to luxury watches. India being the sixth biggest economy in the world, and with the trends and luxury evolving at a rapid speed, people in India are also evolving, which is why Rado holds the second biggest market in India. The brand also understands the market and is looking forward to keep their investments going to make sure that the people are served what they look for.

Katrina Kaif expresses excitement over collaborating with Rado

Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif, who shared that she has been a long-time admirer of Rado’s creation, was thrilled when the opportunity to collaborate appeared. She noted that their discussions revolved around the synergy between her style and Rado’s timeless watches, which eventually led to the creation of a classic and contemporary element for the product.

Kaif, the Centrix models by Rado, are defined as a collection of sensual and feminine pieces, adding that it was designed for the modern-day woman who withstands the test of time, the essence of style, and sophistication. Bosshard also expressed that the brand is super thrilled to have Katrina Kaif on board, explaining that her timeless beauty and global recognition align with Rado’s core principles.
