Reportedly, Loopworm operates a state-of-the-art facility with a 6,000 metric tonne annual capacity. The company successfully navigated the certification process with support from officials and completed the requirements in record time. Ankit Alok Bagaria, Co-founder & CEO, Loopworm expressed, “Receiving the EU TRACES certification is a significant milestone validating our commitment to quality and compliance to international standards.”
Since the launch of its LoopFactory in April 2024, Loopworm has been supplying its protein and fat products to the Asian aquaculture market. By utilizing silkworm pupae reared in climate-friendly conditions, Loopworm has redefined sustainable animal nutrition. Its products are nutrient-dense, offering a rich source of essential amino acids, trace minerals, and fatty acids beneficial for pet and animal health.

Loopworm to research for silkworm-derived biomolecules
Further, Ankit stressed that the company has overcome remarkable challenges in the insect protein industry. Looking ahead, Loopworm is expanding its portfolio to include new insect-derived products. The company is also researching applications for silkworm-derived biomolecules in anti-diabetic and anti-obesity treatments for pets.
As Loopworm enters the European market, it is engaging with pet food companies eager to incorporate sustainable solutions into their products.
