WickedGud, a direct-to-consumer food products brand, has raised INR 20 crore in a funding round led by Orios Venture Partners.

The funding round also saw participation from Asiana Fund and several existing investors. This investment comes after the company secured $250,000 in growth funding led by GetVantage in June 2023.

Notably, WickedGud aims to provide healthy yet indulgent food products using wholesome ingredients and innovative manufacturing techniques. The company uses SCAD technology to preserve the nutritional value of its ingredients. “Over the past six months, we have seen phenomenal growth in Reliance Retail stores and quick-commerce platforms, with our products resonating deeply with consumers across the country,” said Bhuman Dani, Founder of WickedGud.
Funds for expansion of distribution network
Meanwhile, the funds will be utilized to expand the distribution network, branding, and marketing efforts. WickedGud operates on an omnichannel distribution strategy and is available on major quick commerce and e-commerce platforms and in over 2,000 retail outlets across India.

In addition, WickedGud has grown fivefold in the last 24 months, indicating a growing appetite for healthier food alternatives. The brand’s vision resonates with health advocate and Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, who has been a strong supporter of WickedGud.
Looking forward, the company plans to introduce new flavors, especially Korean flavors in its instant and cup noodle range, catering to the increasing Indian consumer demand for diverse and global flavors.
